Alice Louise Dobbins

Alice "Louise" Tidwell Dobbins, 74, passed away surrounded by family on June 2, 2026. Born on March 30, 1952, Louise lived a life defined by love and compassion, and helping others. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grands. Louise loved the Lord and has been a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church since childhood. She was a proud graduate of Sardis High School Class of 1970. She enjoyed thrifting, playing cards and spending time with her beloved sisters. She volunteered for several years with Sardis High School Band where she was very lovingly known as the band “Nonna.” Above all, Louise cherished her family. She was a loving Mom, Nonna, and great-Nonna whose love will be treasured always. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with burial following the service in the church cemetery. Bro. Alan Hallmark, Bro. Russ Mathis and Bro. Billy Tidwell will officiate her service. Pallbearers will be her nephews and great nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Louise is survived by her only daughter, Anita (Russ) Mathis; her grandson, Devan (Savannah) Dorsett; her granddaughter Dayleigh (Jake) Wisener; bonus granddaughter Charae (Lucas) Moore, and great grandchildren; Remi Wisener, Reid Wisener and Avery Loggins, bonus great grandchildren; Easton Moore and Emma Moore. Sisters; Jean Butler, Barbara (Don) Self, Martha (Robert) Brown, Melba Hopper. Brothers; Billy (Bonnie) Tidwell and Bobby Tidwell. Chosen sister Anita (Jack) Self, a host of nieces and nephews, and her sweet dog Tifa. She is preceded in death by her husband; Mike Dobbins and her parents; W.B. “Bill” and Annie Lou Tidwell, sister; Billie Lou Peppers, grandson; Jessie Mathis, sister-in-law; Debbie Tidwell. She leaves behind a legacy of service, and love that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the lives she touched will never be forgotten.
