Betty Jean Morrow

Betty Jean Morrow (Lang), 94, of Leesburg, Alabama, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026. She was born on October 14, 1931. Jean was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and the undisputed boss of the family. Her greatest legacy is the wonderful family she built, nurtured, and fiercely protected—even when they drove her a little crazy. She raised four children with a perfect balance of tough love, quick wit, and unwavering support, teaching them to meet life with the same joyful resilience and spark that she always had. She will be remembered for her wonderfully spirited nature, her love for her family, friends, and community, and her magical ability to solve absolutely any problem. Jean made the absolute best peanut brittle and pecan pies around, and she will be deeply missed by everyone who loved her—and everyone who lined up to eat her desserts. We find sweet comfort in knowing that her bright spirit lives on in everyone she loved, and that her kitchen secrets are safe with us. Jean is survived by her brother, Paul David Lang, her children Bruce Morrow (Debbie) Connie Morrow (Tim), Rejeania Morrow (Dave), Ronald Morrow (KC), her 9 amazing grandchildren; Brian Morrow (Julie), Laura Williford (Brian), Rachel Smith (Steve), Brianna Swords-Smith (Ryan), Kendrick Swords (Tiara) Roseanne Green (Justin), Vincent, Richard and Astra. She was ‘Jean Jean’ to 13 great grandchildren; Hilary, Blake, Sean, Sam, Sloan, Lilly, Savannah, Nate, Rhett, Saxton, Amelia, ZuZu and Izzy, and her 4 beloved great great grandchildren Tucker, Wren, Bo and Kynlee, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband Floyd Samuel Morrow, her parents Jessie Buford Lang and Rilla Samples Lang, her brother Wade Lang and her sister Roberta Lang Scott. Her Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Bro. Neal Chaffin will be officiating. Friends can visit from 1 until service time. She will be laid to rest at Liberty Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Arrangements are entrusted to Albertville Memorial Chapel.
