Barbara Jean Martin

November 4, 1944 - March 3, 2022

Mrs. Barbara Jean Martin, age 77 of Boaz arrived at her eternal home on Thursday, March 3, 2022. Her funeral service will be held at Albertville Memorial Chapel at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Rev. Joe Wise and Jonathon Whisenant will be officiating the service. Committal service and interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service from 2:30 until 4. Pallbearers will be Kaleb, Kade, Case, Bryson, Luke, Levi, Colt and Bo Martin. Mrs. Martin was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She devoted her life to loving and caring for her family. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Barbara was a very hard worker and business owner that spent many years serving others. Barbara arrived at her heavenly home greeted by her father and mother; Luther and Christine Haygood. Mrs. Martin leaves behind her husband of 57 years; Charles Martin, daughter; Tonja (Greg) Garner, sons; Kip (Stacy) Martin, Chuck (Lindsay) Martin and Tex (Amanda) Martin, grandchildren; Kaleb and Kade, Case and Bryson, Luke, Levi, Colt and Bo and her two brothers. The family would like to extend a special thank you and appreciation to the staff and doctors at UAB and the staff at Encompass Health. You were all a blessing to our mother.
