Geneva Gilliland, age 88, of Birmingham, formerly of Albertville, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at her residence. Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at New Home Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. before the service. She is survived by her son; Wade Gilliland (Karen), granddaughter; Cara Velotas (Paul), grandson; Ryan Gilliland (Ashley), great grandchildren; Xander Velotas, Simon Velotas, Nate Velotas, Emmylou Gilliland, and Maisie Gililand, special friends; Sara and Steve King and ShuMarri Jennings. She is preceded in death by her husband; Kenneth E. Gilliland and siblings; Dessie Hendrix (Elbert), Lessie Dean Reed (S. T.) and Rayford Fowler (Shelby).
